Hi everyone. We are at the end of our three year plan. As of today, we have two more bi-weekly payments, so in 28 days we will have paid our final payment in our plan. In fact we would have overpaid the plan by $66. The trustee has been taking it out of my paychecks for three years now. I contacted the Attorney to find out what happens to the $66 and was delighted to find out it comes back to us.
He says our trustee is pretty fast, so the discharge and closure of the case should be 30-45 days, assuming all the creditors cash the final checks. I didn't understand how them cashing checks should affect us, but at this point, I'm just happy to get it done.
Come on August 27... We've been looking forward to this day.
