How many years does it take for the bankruptcy to leave your credit report?

Once it's gone, is it gone forever?

    Thanks!

I think it takes 7 from the date of filing and not from the date of completion. So if you are in a 5 year plan. Two years after you complete it it is off your record! I hope!
Discharge date: October 2017 (will it ever get here?)

I pulled my Experian credit report recently and it says that my Ch 13 will come off my report in November 2020, which is seven years for me.

We were discharged two years ago this month. Ours is due to come off this month. I am checking all three reports in August to make sure it does. I'll let you know if they do it right. One bureau already did because my fico jumped from 627 to 767 this month.
        Filed Chapter 13 - 7/10/07 - 5 year plan with 2 cars and 10% unsecured payback,
        Last Payment 7/12, DISCHARGED 11/26/12 CLOSED 12/18/12

Chapter 13's come off 7 years from filing date. Chapter 7's are 10 years from filing date.

Thanks to all for the replies!

My 7 year anniversary is tomorrow I am pulling a free credit report from annualcreditreport.com this Friday.

Recovery is possible with Bankruptcy, but it takes a long time.
