NEED A QUICK ANSWER ---Do I submit my tax return with Petition?
Does anyone know if I have to file submit my previous year tax return with my petition and required schedules? Today is my final day to submit everything and I dont want to be missing anything.
You file your taxes with the IRS. You make a copy of your tax return and/or transcript to file with your BK petition. If you need a transcript, go on the IRS site and you can get it faxed to you for free.

Our attny asked for the last 4 years of Income Tax returns we'd filed and all of our income statements for those years. They've scanned them and have them on file.

We had to provide the last three years of tax returns to our attorney before we could file. He is sending the last two years of returns to our trustee before our 341 meeting next week - our trustee requires that or we will be dismissed.

Topic No. 156, How to Get a Transcript or Copy of Your Tax Return
The Tax Return Transcript is FREE and can be faxed to you immediately by calling. It has the numbers as they are entered into the IRS computers, but not all the extra form verbiage--the court accepts these.
A copy of your actual Tax Return is $39/year (OUCH) and takes a long time to get. Since I efile, I'm not even sure what this would look like.
