    Buying home question

Im in my mid 50's and plan to retire in Arizona in 5-7 years, i rent a place where i live in California but a opportunity has come up for me to purchase a place in arizona that owner will carry with not much down, it will be less them what my ch13 payment is now. I have 5 payments left in my ch13 and have 3 of them in the bank already, i know you cant take on new debt but if i could afford to pay for it even if its last 2 months, do you think its worth the risk? My responsible side says no way don't risk it, but my crazy side says what the heck who will know! do it.

I would say don't do anything to jeopardize a successful discharge.
Discharge date: October 2017 (will it ever get here?)

No, don't risk it. Have you talked to your attorney about getting authorization to incur debt?

Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
