Windfall during chapter 7

If someone with an open chapter 7 case receives a cash gift, and if the gift is sufficiently large, would a dismissal of the bankruptcy be warranted?

Would this money be protected from creditors?

The Chapter 7 Trustee should have no interest in the post filing gift so long as you are not talking about an inheritance.
