    Food stamps and Bankruptcy

I'm trying to prepare to file bankruptcy in about 3 months. I receive food stamps. I live with a domestic partner, and we file together as a household for food stamps. I will be filing bankruptcy only for my debts. I am concerned about how much the trustee can or will scrutinize food stamp records, such as income information I gave on food stamp application forms, etc. Do they look at such things, or are they only concerned that I report the amount of food stamp benefits as income?

    Thank you!

The Trustee is not going to be looking at that. The inquiry is mostly on your forms and it's about your household income. You would report the food stamps as income for purposes of the means test.
