    On par with my course

I just received a collection notice from a medical provider incurred last fall, before I converted my case to Ch 7.

I contacted the atty, who said court fees and his fee amounts to more than the item of $115.

Should I just pay it and make it go away? Will it go away if I do pay it?
    What is the correct response?

You have a smart attorney. While you could have included that $115 bill in the converted case's "additional creditors" list, your attorney's $250-500/hour to fight it is not worth the time.

The (not so funny) thing is that it would be discharged anyhow if you are a no asset Chapter 7 (converted) case. You might be able to make it go away by sending the notice of bankruptcy from the converted Chapter 7 to the creditor yourself and maybe they'll mark it as Included In Bankruptcy (IIB).

    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
