Hi BKbound and welcome! Since you posted in the Ch 7 area, I assume you plan on filing Chapter 7.

To find the value of your mobile home, see what other similar mobile homes in your park have sold for in the last year or so, check with mobile home dealers in your area, search online for your model and year on online sales and auctions, and if you have a mobile home realtor you trust, ask them for a value estimate (not a selling estimate). You don't have to tell anyone you are thinking of filing, just that you need the value for insurance or something like that.

To double-check the value of your cars, check Kelly Blue Book at http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/default.aspx and Edmunds at http://www.edmunds.com/used/index.html . Remember you want the dealer's value. These are the sites typically used by the bk courts in estimating car values.

Given the age and value of your cars, if both are paid off, then I would think you'd be fairly safe to assume you can keep them. Is your son under 18 and/or still living at home?

In addition to the suggestions Lrprn gave you, I noted that NADA and a couple of other services available online will do valuations for a nominal fee. The prices I saw were in the $30-$50 range.

I did find one listing for a similar unit on eBay. A 1990 Fleetwood, 2 BR/2BA on a half acre of ground in Tennessee. The asking price was upper $20'sK. I'm sure a chunk of that price was the half acre lot.

You might periodically check eBay to see if you can find comps there as well.
