    Anyone from Colorado?

If so, what have your experiences been? I was reading through the "Tactical Manual 2" which has been very informative. I have read several other books and have scoured the Colorado Trustee's site and have retained an attorney to complete my filing as well. I was just wondering if you, having filed in Colorado, had to provide the trustee with the multitude of statements and paperwork that the Tactical Manual says they have to provide in Kentucky and Illinois (i.e. 6 months worth of bank statements, original signed and stamped mortgage paperwork, tax returns (not just the copies that we kept but the copies that have been stamped as received by the IRS), etc...The Colorado trustee's site doesn't mention this extensive documentation but I'm wondering if the reality is such that they do, indeed, require it. I have regular copies of everything but not copies that have stamped/received/processed from whoever received what was mailed to them. I hope this makes sense. I'm probably worrying for naught.
Has anyone had difficulty trying to file a Chapter 7 in Colorado?

According to a Colorado Springs bk lawyer website at http://www.williamspeers.com/bankruptcy.shtml:
    "."

We have members from Colorado here so hopefully they will chime in with their experiences. And of course, your lawyer can easily answer these questions for you and will be the best source of reliable information for your bk district and trustee.

Here are two websites that provide other specific information about filing for bankruptcy in Colorado -

    http://www.bankruptcyinformation.com/CO_courts.htm .

    Hope this helps!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

I'm in Colorado Springs. We filed late last year and were discharged February of this year. Yes, we had to provide a gob of paperwork though I don't recall any of it having to be stamped or certified in any way. Our attorney is a former Trustee, so he was pretty exhaustive in making sure we had every possible contingency covered. All in all, it went much more smoothly than I'd expected. Collecting the associated paperwork turned out to be the worst of it.

Feel free to PM me directly if you have any questions. I don't come in here as much anymore but the PM will ping my email.
