    Asset Case Closed!!

    Well, it's been such a long wait, and a few gray hairs, and meds... later.. Case closed May 25th. We filed in September of 2005. Our tax refund was taken, therefore it took 1.5 years to close the case.
    Extremely diffcult but today I really breathe a sigh of relief!

    Good luck to all on your journey to debt freedom. May everyone's case be short and simple, and God Bless!

    1.5 years is a long wait, but well worth it. I'm at 1.5 years myself and hopefully, I'll be done very soon as well.
    Bankruptcy History:
    Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
    Discharged - 02/16/2006
    Case Closed - 11/08/2007

        September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

          Closing is supposed to be an Admin thing, but it's such a HUGE psychological hurdle.

          Closed means,......... It's over. It's done. It's behind you. Officially!!

            So it's official and Minny has done her happy dance - doesn't get better than that! Congrats for finally being able to close the bk door once and for all. Enjoy your new financial start and use the lessons you've learned wisely. Be sure to come back and let us know how your rebuilding is going. It's party time!!!

                That is so great, bet your shoulders feel weightless now !!! My closing should be any day, trustee final report and excused from the case report was filed on 5/18/2007. 30 days was 6/18/2007........so any day now, cant wait to dance with minny.

                  You guys are truly a great group of people, and have been a wonderful source of advice for me throughout. I guess I never ever thought in a million years this would happen to me. Just goes to show that none of us are exempt from lifes circumstances.

                  Minny..Hope your case closes very soon. You're one in a million and have endured more than most of us would have.

                  Bass Boy...Here's hoping your case closes very soon. It really does take a load off your shoulders. No more worries (or credit cards), and life can begin again.!!!
