It'll be fine. Don't be superstitious, that's for goofballs. A computer probably picked your date.

Waddya got flutters for? - it's REALLY not that bad, WAM! You got your friends here watching your back.

    ;^)

You will be fine the hard part is the waiting for the 60 days after the meeting to go by its like watching a pot until the water boils but after that you look back and say that wasnt so bad.
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

        Hen...
        I AM a goofball.
It was just funny, with the way things have been going lately for hubby and I, esp OUTSIDE BK. This is actually easy compared to other things going on within my family. At least BK has rules and laws, UNLIKE my family and destructive weather!!
After this is done I need to move!

The 341 is intimidating because you have no ideal what to expect. I know I paced the floor for weeks before mine having imaginary Q&A sessions with trustee, trying to anticipate questions...like "how did you let things get so bad" etc....
In reality ....there wasn't any of that. It's over before you know it.

Then comes the 60 day wait.....

I agree it's an ugly date for your 341, but try not to let that hang over you.

Here's sending good vibes your way WAM. Best of luck!

I hear my trustee and the judge in this particular state court ive been assigned are some of the most strict my lawyer has delt with, and they want to know how you got into debt. Lawyer said they are cut and dry, no if ands or buts pretty much. I hope my ride through is okay, and they dont make me surrender. All said NO to reaffirm, cuz we are To po'.

I wonder, If someone were to lend ('give') me the money to redeem my auto loan for what I owe, ($6,000) would that paid off car suddenly become an assett to be sold since it would be over my allowable exemptions. (By about $2,000)

Thinking....The thought of going out and getting another auto loan right now when I have just two years to payoff at 3.9% irritates me.

$2K might be enough to entice a trustee to take your now paid-off car and sell it for the profit beyond your auto exemption. Also might be enough to tell you that if you want to keep it, you have to pay him/her $2K. If you are too "po'" to reaffirm, then you are too "po'" to pay the trustee $2K for your car as well. Why chance it?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Thats what I figured Lrprn....its a no win. Here's hoping for a ride through! There is a (small) chance my BIL would lend me the $$$$ but why bother. I hate to borrow cash anyhow. More trouble.

I live in NJ. That website would most likely be about daily life here.
Was there a full moon jury duty day? Its like a full moon every day here I swear. Today I saw about 50 drunken 40-80 year olds nearly running each over in boats and jet skis. All with Buzweiser beer in hand. They called it a race. Even their dogs were fighting. Mostly pitbulls. Lots of three letter words yelled and stated. I had promised the kids fishing....I could not wait to leave.
                        Well pacer says MEANSNO, yippee!
