i need to do part 1 of the credit counseling..i want to do that this weekend.....my lawyer gave me a list of different places..but i wanted to know if anyone has paid less tahn $50. Please let me know. Thanks!

The first part is online and then you call and have a quick conversation with a debt counselor, took about 10 minutes. It was painless.
They also offer the required pre-discharge debtor classes (that is $35 per person, $45 per household)

TOD, make sure that whatever pre-filing credit counseling course you choose, it's been approved by the Department of Justice for your state. You can check that here - http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/bapcpa/ccde/cc_approved.htm
