Are you negative after car pmt? How much do you have left over without car pmt? What is your income do you pass the means test? What state are you in?Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

If you are way below the median, then it's very likely should have stopped filling in the Ch 7 B22A forms at one of two places on the Means Test - Part III Line 15 if you checked the first box, or Part VI Line 55 if you checked the first box. (See http://www.uscourts.gov/rules/BK_For...m_22A_0407.pdf for a copy of the B22A forms.)Originally posted by aachudneymiles View Posti am in virginia

You only continue on to finish the rest of the Means Test and Schedules if you show a positive almount on Part VI Line 55 and have to check the second box.
Don't stress yourself trying to fill everything out. Since you're below the VA median, it's very likely not necessary.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Filling out the Schedules are only necessary if you show any disposable income on the Means Test (in other words, you checked the second box on Part VI Line 55 which shows your income higher than your initial listing of expenses).Originally posted by aachudneymiles View Postupdate ok read the link and that a meanstest .. it doesnt say anything about schedule J am I missing something?
The Schedules are how the trustee figures out exactly how much (if any) disposable income you do have. If the Means Test already shows you have no disposable income, then there's no need to fill out the Schedules.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

This Schedule J form, right? http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/bapcpa/d...orm_B6J_V1.pdfOriginally posted by aachudneymiles View PostI think we are on 2 diffirent pages... I am not speak of the means test I am talking about schedule j Official Form 6J (10/06)

If you say yes, then I will say again that if you did not have to check the second box on the Means Test Part VI Line 55 showing that you do indeed have disposable income, then you do not have to fill this Schedule form or any other Schedule form out. You are supposed to stop at the Means Test and you're done.
If you are filling all these forms out because you are filing Ch 7 without a lawyer (pro se), then call your local bk court clerk or Legal Aid to see if they can help you sort out just what forms are required for you. No sense filling out a bunch of forms that may not be necessary to fill out.
Hang in there - we'll get this figured out yet or keep trying until we do!! lol!

I found this list to be helpful so far - I am in WNY so this may be different where you are http://www.nywb.uscourts.gov/forms/n...s_and_Fees.pdf

So if I understand this correctly, if line 15 shows I'm under the state of Illinois median income and the presumption does not arise, I don't have to fill out Schedules I & J? And then I don't need a list of all my exact monthly expenses? I'm retaining a lawyer on Monday but just wanted to clarify this.
Thanks!
