Thanks everyone. Still waking up now after the celebration....

Demismom and Catch me and everyone else - this is what I did:

I called the local BK court, the asked me who the judge in the case was, transferred me to a different number. A lady answered (not super friendly, but ok) and I asked her about discharges and how soon after the last day of objections do they occur.

She asked me for my case #, banged on her computer for a couple of minutes, and said "well it looks like you are clear for a discharge". I said "Yes the last day for objections was 10/9". To which she replied "ok, but we are short staffed here". So I said "It should happen within the next week, right" and she replied "I would think so". I said thanks and good bye.

So, a couple hours later, just for the hell of it, I logged back into PACER and wouldn't you know, the discharge order was posted, and status is "Awaiting Closing"

My point is for anyone waiting for the discharge - call your bk court and ask. BE VERY NICE, VERY PATIENT with them, as they have the power to push it along, but also the power to let it be until someone gets around to it. Which might well be what is happening to denismom and catch me, and others........

Thanx Boscoe - I did write down the number for our courthouse, but chickened out on calling. They close at 4 PM, so I'll have to wait until a day I'm off work to call and get the courage up to do it. I certainly don't want to ruffle ANYONE'S feathers in doing so.
