Working less days at job

Hello folks, thanks for all of your help. I have my 341 meeting in a few weeks. I was thinking, can I give up some of my days at work which would enable me to make less money, would the trustees question this? My checks would reflect 32 hours instead of 40 hours per week. Would this hurt me at all? I am in a chapter 7 case. I already make less then the median income so the lawyer only did the first part of the means test as I am under the income limits. I don't see why you want to make less money if you're already under the median income for your state. But - though I'm not positive, hopefully a mod will answer - I think I read here that it's okay to work less. However, if your 341 is already scheduled, that means they've already figured your income and turned it in to the trustee. I shouldn't think it would matter either way, as long as you don't make MORE that would then put you over the median.

Your trustee isn't going to care - your bk estate was created on the day you filed; It should be fine to work less if you can still meet your financial obligations on 32 hours /week and have enough left over to handle emergencies and other unexpected costs.

Would you mind helping us understand why you want to make LESS money after you filed?
