    Yep.

    Coma did just that.

Coma originally filed a Ch 7, but voluntarily Converted to a 13 to save a car, I think. Then, they were reassigned to a new duty station resulting in a loss of pay. They decided to surrender the vehicle they'd worked so hard to save. They Converted back to Ch 7 about 18 months to 2 years into their Plan.

If the OP gets pushed into a Ch 13, and circumstances change drastically,.............. Say one of them looses a job, becomes disabled and cannot work, suffers the death of a spouse,........... They can reapproach the Court to Convert back to Ch 7 if their Ch 13 Plan causes undue hardship on the Debtor or the Debtor's dependents.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

The lawyer for the OP may have made an error, but he also may be very well versed in what is acceptable to the local trustee.
ok! thats why i said maybe his lawyer knows his job and the trustee meaning he know what expense the trustee will let rid.
