We bought a lot of stuff in 2007. I am just afraid of losing any of it. That is why I do not want to file BK. What happens to our new Mac computer that we paid $2200 for? What happens to our home theater? We lose all that? If you had to come to my house ONE SINGLE TIME, you could see that you would go absolutely nuts living where I live without these. We are so remote from ANYTHING that it is almost literally like being in jail living here without any form of entertainment. Friends and relatives who come out here to visit us once NEVER come back again since it's so far away. Even when the repo man came to get my car a few days ago, HE COULD NOT FIND THE PLACE. We are so buried out in the woods. He called me many times asking for directions on how to get here.

I don't think we will ever plan on selling this house in my lifetime, so I can live with a judgment or lien. I thought that judgments only stayed 7 years and then the person had to pay to renew them?

If I can keep all of the stuff we bought in 2007, I would file BK in a heartbeat. I heard that Rooms to Go attends the bankruptcies and will want their stuff back. We would have an empty living room.

I will have to get dollar amounts and dates and post them here for your review.

I am wondering if we can give like 90% back and then continue to make payments on the rest. Pretty much how some people keep their cars and continue to make payments on them. I know most of you don't think much of a Bowflex. It really doesn't matter what the item is. If it's something I wish to keep, do you think the bankruptcy people will take it or is it only the creditors taking back something that was purchased through them? A friend of mine bought a $500 TV and filed BK 3 years later. The one creditor that showed up came to ask where the TV was. I thought that was hilarious. They would pay somebody to come to the meeting for some 3 year old TV? What's it worth now, $50-75?
