What exemptions do i get? I don't own a home. I have seen others post about getting up to 22k in exemptions. How does that work,do you add up all your exemptions that are unused?? (If you don't have jewelry you can use it for something else.) So does that mean you can put it towards the things you want to exempt?? I live in California . I hope it makes sense...

Here's the link to the California exemptions - http://los-angeles-bankruptcy.net/ca...exemptions.htm . Unlike most states, CA has two exemption options and filers select the one that matches their needs best. You have to use all of one option or all of the other - you can't mix and match between them.Originally posted by CANTDOIT View PostWhat exemptions do i get? I don't own a home. In your case since you don't own a home, if you select Option 2 you can use $17,425 of the homestead exemption to cover any other property you have.
Go through the rest of the exemptions to see how both fit your situation. I'm guessing that using Option 2 may well be the best choice for your situation.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13

06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !
10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
