Question regarding payment installments for the filing fee

When we filed our case we requested to pay our $299 filling fee in installments. The lawyer told us make the first payment when we have our 341 meeting and we did. We made a $100 payment on 04/29/08. According to pacer we have until July something to finish paying for the filing fee. Do I need to make the next $100 payment before the 29th of this month or can I just pay the remaining $199 sometime before the July date listed on pacer (same date was listed on the paperwork that we recieved from the court after we filed). I forgot to ask the clerk when we made the payment.

How your court handles these filing fee installments could be very different that how other courts handle the same thing. Your best source of reliable information about how to make these payments and for how much is your lawyer. If you filed pro se (without a lawyer), call the court clerk and ask.

This isn't a time to guess about something so important. If you don't pay this fee correctly, your case could be dismissed - something to avoid at all costs.

Thanks, it's so difficult to get a hold of my lawyer, ugh. According to the court documents the final installment must be made by july 23rd. Just to be on the safe side, I will get a money order tomorrow and mail it off and then they should have it by the 22nd.
