We filed chap 7 on the 21st but we totally forgot that we needed to amend our tax return. Hubby ended up getting a 1099 after we filed our txes on a small job that we did not think about. We just had not sent it in. So, what problems could this mean for us? We owe 321 for gov and $50 for state. Is this a big deal or do we just send it in and send a copy to our lawyer (after we tell him about it of course). I just want to know if in the long run this is a really big deal or should I not worry. Thanks!

If you filed with a lawyer, do let him/her know about the situation.
Since your taxes don't qualify to be discharged in Ch 7, you'll have to pay them whether they are added or not. Start planning how you are going to pay the taxes yourselves, then do so as quickly as possible to avoid added penalties and late fees.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
