I don't know 'Hub, but it's getting sickening. In your case and mine, we've been able to keep our cases moving forward (slowly), but I really worry about those who are elderly, in poor health, don't have access to the internet or just don't have the mental ability to drive their own BKs once their lawyer has made a mess of them. I guess the lawyers take their money and these people are left with no discharge drowning in debt. It sounds like there are 10 really awful attorneys for every competent one based on the posts in this forum.

The UST actually has a problem with the attorney and not me. He thinks the attorney charged me too much for the amount of mistakes that were on the paperwork. The attorney called today to get the correct info.

GOOD! I'd much rather have them after your attorney than you.

I would imagine your lawyer will bend over backwards to make sure everything is dead on next month. Sorry you have to go back and do it again. Best of luck.

Just goes to show how stupid some of these attorneys are. I think now if they screw up in favor of the the creditors, example: UST successfully converts the debtor to a chapter 13 the attorney is liable for some of the costs. Same holds true for hidden assets.

Not that there were alot, but I let the trustee know it was missing.

I did not want this to appear that I was 'hiding' anything, so I mentioned the errors in the paperwork, marked up a copy of my filing, and sent it with the attorney to fix.

Didn't seem to be a problem.
Did you get to see your schedules before you signed them?

The reason I ask is my atty had us sign blanks then filed, and I found errors and have had to amend prior to 341. If additional errors still should I wait for 341 to see if they pop out?? Too many amendments has to be a flag..I kick myself for signing blank but he said that is how they handle, once i"m all pd up of course
