    Partial Social Security Number

I understand current law to say that in the interest of anonymity, you may file a Chap. 7 by providing only the last four digits of financial accounts and indentifiers like your SSN.

Yet on Form 21 (Statement of Social-Security Number), the USG online .pdf form sort of makes you cough up the whole the 9 yards. The fillable field does not accept ***-**-2421 because you can't type in a keyboard character other than a number or a hyphen.

The one way to game it is type in 000-00-2421.

So game it or cough up all nine digits?

    All thoughts appreciated, with thanks.

I included my entire SS# on my statement of SS#s, but then again I did this pro se without advice. I did notice that my entire SS# was not on pacer, but it is on the notices that the BK court sent out to all my creditors. I know this doesnt answer your question, sorry.
Not only am I not a lawyer, the California BAR association has sent me numerous letters telling me not to even THINK about going to law school. In fact, the lay advice I provide is not even good. In the end remember, you get what you pay for, and here in BK land were not the best at paying.

I am assuming you are filing pro se and just gathering forms to be filled out. Most BK's (filed by attorneys) are filed electronically and the SS number(s) encrypted when that is done. If you are just filling out a form to be printed and not filed electronically, you will not be able to do that on a PDF form.

Your Social Security # should be redacted from every form except the Statement of Social Security number.

        Good Luck
