    Scam!! Please Read!!

I had a guy call my office stating that I have a wire coming through. He said he was a rep at BofA stating that my company had a wire coming through and he didn't know where to place it.

He proceeded to ask where is our bank, so that they could send the money to the appropriate bank etc etc. He first asked for my accounting dept, not knowing that I am now a one man operation.

Lastly, he gave me several numbers and told me I could call back.

He asked one final time..."wher are you all banking currently?"

Does he think I am an idiot? I told him I do not wish to disclose such personal biz.

I am posting this (1) to educate and inform of the crooks that ere out there. I'm not sure if they are scaming only those who have filed or not. (2) to find out if anyone else has been contacted by someone like this.

Anyone who asks anyone for any kind of unsolicited personal information, SS numbers or passwords over the phone or via an unsolicited email is up to no good. Hang up / delete the email.

I have noticed that since I have been on this forum and filed BK, there is a sudden deluge of phishing emails from various banks - none of which I have an account with.

I personally don't think has to do with this forum or any other. I have not received anything (but I don't bother to check my scam box) and I do post on several boards.
