My job is on the line, and I am worried sick that I will not be able to retain another one at my current salary due to my bankruptcy filing.
Obviously, if they check credit it will be on there for another 7 years, but do you think 3 years later, it will have as much impact on anything related to the hiring process? (I know it is ILLEGAL to discriminate because of BK, but we all know that there are ways to get around that.)
I live in Ohio, which is taking quite the hit, so I think enough of my competitors in the job market will have recent repos, foreclosure, and/or bankruptcy on their reports too, but I am juts nervous about this in a time that there aren't that many jobs.
I need some encouragement I guess.
