Piggybacking on someone else's card AFTER discharge...

Would being added as a joint holder on someone else's credit card (who has good credit) help build your credit rapidly after BK? Im guessing maybe not because I havent read anything on here about but thought I would ask. Thanks so much!

    Not really.

You need to "apply" for, and be "approved" for your own credit.

You can ask to become an "authorized user", instead of a joint owner/holder. They don't run inquiries on people named as authorized users.

But that doesn't really help his credit report in any meaningful way.

Fair Issac (FICO) changed their scoring model recently and being an authorized user doesn't help your score anymore.
