    Can I sell it?

I have a golf cart that I was told is exempt but I would like to sell it. Can I do so if I already filed and 341 is on Feb 3? I got an offer for $3000.

Also, I had a charge up situation and I made a payment in the end of Dec. of $100. It was the minimum pmt. Did I mess up? I didn't even think about it.

I wouldn't convert an exempt asset (personal property) into a potentially non-exempt asset (cash) prior to the 341. Generally, don't do anything with assets between filing and your 341 meeting at a minimum. Technically, it's still property of the Bankruptcy estate.

As for charging something last month... and you paid... depends on how much you spent.

I spent $6K and paid $100. I know its going to be a charge up and I'm willing to pay it out. We knew that going in.

Lawyer said no go on selling the golf cart! Good advice JB!
