I would ask your lawyer, but one of the generic questions in the 341 is about job changes. Shouldn't be an issue... but it's usually safer to wait on the 341.

Thanks ! I meant like saving money up since we will be making less money and spending it on moving expenses, hotel stay and rent/deposit. Not spurging at all...lolOriginally posted by justbroke View PostYou should wait at least until after 341 meeting is concluded. Otherwise, at least wait until discharge. If you are moving or doing other things "necessary to support you and your dependents"... spend away.
A move and deposits, and food, clothing, shelter are all normal expenses and no one would ever question that.
However, I would at least wait for the 341 to be concluded.
I just have felt like I cannot save any money up to this point so I am hoping I am "ok" to save after the filing.
Even though the job pays less, should I still wait for the 341? I really do not have an option because our rental lease is up and we have to sign another year or we have to move.

In your case though, moving, rent deposits, uhauls etc. seem like a valid expense. Not like it's a vacation to Maui!
I just thought they may say something since we are going from a decent paying job to a less paying job and moving for it.

After filing are you free to do what you want with your extra money? Is it ok to take cash out after payday and do what you want with it or does everything have to be documented with receipts or debit card even during the bk?
Reason I ask is we are moving, taking a less paying job(personal reasons) and need money for uhaul, new rent and deposit and things like that. I dont want to have to explain it all to everyone. It is a choice we are making and really don't want to be questioned about our personal decisions.Tags: None
