And on the opposite end of that people took out mortgages that they either well knew they could not afford (just to get into a house) or were advised to take them out cause they could refinance later when the interest increased. And guess who has to pay for all of this, including all the BK filings...all of us taxpayers, those filing BK included, will be responsible for all this dumped debt. The BK process should be tough. I actually could not believe how easy it was when I first researched it.
The process is not only about eliminating all your debt, it is about eliminating the reasons why you got to this point in the first place.
If you don't drastically interrupt your spending through the BK process, you are going to be here in another 8 years.
