Pacer Confusion!

BTW, thanks everyone for all your answers and help.

I registered for a pacer account about 2 weeks ago and had 2 successful logins and was able to view my docket report. Today, I logged on and tried to bring up my case with my case number, it stated case not found. Then I did a search with my name, case not found. Then back to filing date. Case not found! What the heck? I am scared something went completely wrong. Pacer users please help.

Well, the most common error is checking the wrong area of Pacer - make sure you are in the BK section. Its an easy error - I think most of us have done it!

I was able to get in and ck status of my case, It says Status: waiting for closure 63 days, Does that mean it is discharged.

You aren't discharged yet. This says that you are at the 63 day post-341 mark and the trustee can now enter the discharge order if that's the decision he/she has made about your case.

The bk courts across the country are being pounded with filings, so it may take longer for your trustee to get your discharge order entered. If a few more days pass, if you filed with a lawyer ask him/her to check with the trustee. If you filed on your own, contact the local court bk clerk and politely ask for an update on your case.
