We just got our paperwork and there are so many problems/errors with it...

We are trying to convert a 13 to a 7 and surrender one of our vehicles. We tried to file a 7 to start with but we were over the median. We are now below due to cutbacks at dh's work.

So my paperwork is so messed up. First off they have dh's income listed as way lower than it should be and they also didn't take ANYTHING out of it for income tax and we do pay taxes. Then my budget I turned in shows our expenses as being $700 MORE a month than what they have listed. Is there a reason why they used lower numbers on the schedule J then what I gave them?

By my calculations- I used to work posting insurance payments so I feel certain about my math skills and I double checked it with an adding machine- Dh BRINGS home $3896 a month and our expenses every month without the truck note are $3877.72 plus we are below the median income.

However if I have the lawyer fix the schedule I and not the J then it will show way more money left over every month. Are they supposed to fix the J also or are there set numbers that have to be used?

This is the same attorney that filed our Ch 13. Is it too late to get a second opinion?
4/09 Converted to a Ch 7 due to loss in dh's income
5/09 UST now involved no idea what happens next
7/09 UST has decided to withdraw his motion to dismiss!

They need to fix both I and J. Hopefully, you can get in touch with your attorney to hash this thing out, because it sounds like a big mess now.

It is a big mess. On further calculation I found an extra $200 a month left over from someother figures that the paralegal misfigured. It looks like though if we wait one more month and file on June 1 our income will then drop so much in May that our expenses will be $10 more a month than our income.

So can I still consult another lawyer for another opinion?
