How much did you pay on the day of your ch7 file to your attorney?

Ours was something like $500.00 down when we retained her in August, and the remainder of about $1500.00 after the first of the year when a yearly stipend from a trust came. So about $2,000.00, NOT counting the pre and post credit counseling. It DID include the filing fees.

We had started trying for a CH13, but when I lost my job, and other things happened, we had to file a Ch7.

Mine was painful. $1829 including filing fees and a copy of my credit report. Did not include pre- or post-counseling. For a straight up 7 that my lawyer called "an easy one."

It'll all be worth it when I get the discharge, though.

Mine was $1800 without credit counseling. We had a no asset, straight up Chapter 7.

Here's a breakdown of what my lawyer charges.

$825 due before for filing, pre-bk course, and lawyer fee

$400 on or before 341 to lawyer

then $200/month for 2 months.
