Income calculation for last 6 months- earned or paid?

For purposes of the income test, do I calculate income based on earned or paid date? In other words, April was my last good income month, but some commissions were paid in May. Do I include the income on the date paid or earned?

For purposes of the income test, it is when you are actually paid. So, you would include commissions paid in May.
