discharging and closing at the same time

    discharging and closing at the same time

    Is it odd for them to discharge and close a chapter 7 case at the same time. It seems like everyone else has a time period between the two but I'm looking on pacer and it looks like both were done at the same time. One thing says Request to BNC - Discharge of Debtor and says the debt is discharged and another one says Request to BNC - Final Decree and says ----trustees name----- is discharged as trustee of the estate of the above named debtor and the chapter 7 case of the above named debtor is closed. Does that mean I'm completely done?????

    Oh yes, you are DONE!!! I had the exact same thing happen last week, and it was beautiful to see

      You have discharged and autoclosed on the same day! (Yes, this does happen automatically in some Districts.)

            Many times, but not always, if you are a NO Asset Ch7, you will be Discharged and Closed the same day. However, this can be dependent on the way your particular district works.
