Out if curiosity, what happens when a trustee questions an expense on schedule j and you have no proof of it? does it get lowered and possibly have to go to a 13? or does your case just get dimssed?

Use numbers you can prove. Even if you do not have actual bills in hand, you need to be able to produce proof in writing if they ask.

ex: I am listing 900/mo in medical
I do not have bills in hand to prove it all, but i can contact my pharmacy, insurance company, dentist, doctors and specialists and ask for current accounting of my bills so far this year (or estimates for upcoming planned procedures) It would take me a week or 2 to get that in a folder, but it would be the 900 I wrote on the medical line. (really it would be more, but I like round numbers)

They can make you adjust them, and they can force you into 13 (if they think it was a misunderstanding or mistake)...or dismiss your case entirely (if they think you LIED). If they dismiss "with prejudice" it means you knew it was a lie and you can not file again for at least 6 months (that may be longer!)

i so totally agree with maine...i can call you montana if you want maine...LOL!!

do not lie, be honest...with us, we had nothing to hide since we had absolutely nothing left....

this may be unusal, but our trustee was so kind and understanding....of course i teared up a few times since it was difficult to see our 40 years of hard work slip through our hands...and into the "banks" hands.

be truthful...it comes back to you 10 fold!
