Does anyone know about SSI Payments?

We incurred an overpayment. They take payments out of my son's SSI payment each month to pay this back but we still owe 732.00 can this be included in bk?

I am SO sick of dealing with SSI. He was supposed to get a 267 payment for Jan. They put 102 in my account. I have no idea why he didn't get the full 267. Getting SSI and living on a variable income SUCKS. They screw up and over pay constantly because they can't get their crap together and figure out what he is REALLY owed the payments go off what my hubby made 2 months ago. So his Jan payment is based off Nov. wages. Which we turn in as soon as my hubby receives them all. Nov. 15th and they still screw it up!~

frankly, i would ask your atty about this...i'm not certain how one would be able to stop SSI from taking the money out...really.

I don't care if they keep taking it out or not. But it so stinks that now my check book is frigged up once again because I was depending on 267 dollars not 102 Should have known it was the government never count on anything!

It is not a big deal really. They just take the payment out of his check anyway so I don't care. If we get back on our feet again I might tell them to take their payments and stick them where the sun doesn't shine just so I don't have to deal with them. We can't have hardly any assets and keep it. Not even 401k so STUPID!

Actually, there is something called hardship with SSI. Call Social Security and explain to them that having to pay this back will create a hardship for your family and providing the needs you have for your son. My son is affected with autism and I have dealt with the different programs since he was 3 years old.... he is now 19. They are very understanding.... just call and ask about it.
