Bleah, have to wait 2 months for 341

Got my notice today -- my 341 isn't until July 28, and I filed 5/31. I'm assuming it's bc this is a rural area, and maybe they don't do them every month or something. But anyway, bleah. Plus I have something else going on that day, which thankfully I can do before my 9:30 341, but still. Just frustrating!

How long did you have to wait for your 341?

Sorry NewPage that you have such a long wait, is your tentative date for discharge still 90 days out from filing?

I waited about 35 days for my 341.

We filed March 31st, our 341 is July 7th.

newpage we also had to wait two months for our 341!!!! i think it must be summer schedules or something????? because i know when we first spoke with our atty we would advised it would be within 30 days of the filing.

We filed 12-28-2007, and the 341 was 2-7-2008, so it was about six weeks. Plus we had New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and MLK Day during that time.

That's interesting... I filed May 26th and my 341 is July 6th. My lawyer told me that the 341 had to be scheduled within 45 days of the filing date. Is that a California thing, or is my lawyer uninformed?

i think it's more a court schedule thing than anything else.

I filed in December and my 341 was five or six weeks after that.

I was discharged at the end of March and now I'm just waiting for the case to be closed. About a week ago my lawyer said closure would probably come within a month or two --- fingers crossed!!

Only when the case is closed will I finally start destroying all of those old credit statements and collecion letters. I can't wait. I'm going to go to Staples and get the biggest, pimped out shredder in stock and then go to Total Wine for some tequila... come home and have a shredding party!

Unfortunately, the UST and creditors still have to get their 60 days to object to discharge. That clock starts ticking from the first scheduled 341. It's in Rule 4004.

We filed 5/10/11 and had our 341 6/2/11 so I guess we were lucky and didn't have to wait too long. Sorry you have such a long wait.

Mine was relatively quick, thank goodness. Filed 4/15, 341 on 5/23 and awaiting discharge. I know someone else here in PA who had almost a 2 month wait so I was really happpy!

we may have had to wait for the 341 a bit, but the orders for close and discharged were rec'd in the mail by us, on day number 63! that was great!

Ours took approx. 45 days after we filed and we are still waiting for it to be closed.
