Attorney Fees in Upstate NY

I met with an attorney last Thursday who wants to charge me $2300.00 which includes the $338.00 filing fee. Is this reasonable? I have $16,500 worth of debt which includes: a car repo, credit cards, medical bills......I feel like that is a lot of money. Anyone else think so??????

I'm not sure about the pricing in New York, but here in PA that's close to what our attorney charged us for a CH7 BK.

My attorney was from Plattsburgh and my 7 was 1700 back in 2009. Worth every penney too.

My attorney charged $1,600 back in 2010, and he's from Middletown, NY.

I am closing this thread. There is no such thing as a typical or average attorney fee. So what some else paid for their attorney for their circumstances, in no way helps you.
