aghhhhhh. I'm so nervous. I hope to come back and say it was 5 minutes of nothing. but.... i always pick the longest lines; i have that kind of luck. I'm worried only about one of the creditors but the lawyer says it's a non issue and they would not show up. I'll let you know. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks!

I'm back from my mtg. The trustee was running a little behind. I met my lawyer there a few minutes early. I got to listen to a complicated case with lots of questions, then there were a few no-shows (are you kididng me? you don't show for the 341??) and then one pro se who had a creditor show up on her (it was like a rent to own place; she had furniture that they wanted)then two simple cases in front of me. All the same questions that someone posted on this site on a sticky. NOthing unusual, he was nice, he just took notes. No creditors showed up. My lawyer sd he may ask me more questions b/c of the amt of my debt (116k), but he didn't. Just the usual questions and then we were done. he sd good luck. There were maybe 10 people in the room. Very stress free.
So I guess now I reaffirm things that I want to and then wait 60 days for the CC companies to object.

Hey ICEHOUSE,
Yes, the CCC's can object to the discharge of a debt owed.
60-Day Waiting Period:
After the Creditors Meeting, there is a 60-day period during which time creditors can file claims if they believe you have non-exempt assets and during which creditors may object to being discharged provided they have legal grounds. Grounds for objection to discharge include the fraud, student loans, alimony and support obligations etc.Bankruptcy History:
Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
Discharged - 02/16/2006
Case Closed - 11/08/2007

My period for objection oddly was extended beyond my discharge, in fact four months beyond. Bass, that is a long wait, did you have complications? robivi3,
I didn't wait long. My 341 was on Dec.12, 2005 (took that date out of my signature). It was 64 days after my 341 when I saw the discharge on PACER.
Nope, not a single thing went wrong with our case.
Still waiting on closing though. I wish that would happen already. The only asset was $675 of my income tax reund. Sent that to the trustee a few months ago.Last edited by BassBoy; 08-15-2006, 08:44 AM.Bankruptcy History:
