    Bank account levy question

I have a judgement against me, a credit card that I abandoned years ago. About 6 months ago I received a letter from the creditor's attorney saying they were freezing and levying my bank account at a small bank near my home. I don't have, never had an account at that bank. So ignored that letter.
Now today I got paid with a check written from an account at that bank.

When the writ of execution or whatever was delivered to that bank, did it just get tossed when the account they demanded to be seized didn't exist?

Am I safe to cash that check at that bank, or might that writ of execution still be enforce, waiting for the day I open an account there to snatch the money?

Or what if I deposited it in my checking account at an unrelated bank, would the funds get snatched at the check issuing bank?

Sounds like a scam to me.
