    Dealing After Judgement

What do you do after you didn't show up at your court hearing...and now they are trying to garnish wages but you are self employed and the creditors are contacting a previous employer...is everything to late? Do you send a cease and desist letter? All of this for less then $2000..by the way, not for me, I have learned enough here to fight from th get go

A court judgment against you is a totally different ball game than your creditors asking for payment of a credit card or loan. The company that won the court judgment against you is looking for employers because the court gave them legal permission to garnish your wages until the debt you owe them is paid in full.

Just curious...why did you decide to not show up for the court hearing?

And are you considering bankruptcy to stop the garnishment?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

this is not for me,,,but can they send a cease and desist letter to this credit agency...the original debt was from 1997 but kept being bought to different agencies until finally one went to court...Is the only option just to pay?
