This is not specific to bankruptcy, but I've got a former landlord who was successful in getting a garnishment order against me. He was unhappy that my company was taking longer than he wanted to enact the garnishment, so he called my HR department and got an phone audience with the HR manager and the payroll coordinator. During the conversation he revealed details about the nature of the debt owed, as well as history regarding interactions he has had with me.
If that legal? I know if he were a collection agency he would not be able to do that, but as the actual creditor, does he have the right to call my employer and discuss the details of my debts to him?
Thanks in advance if you can help me, the guy has been a massive PITA and seems determined to extract as much pain from me as possible over a disputed month's worth of rent.
