Very old "debt" reported as collection post Ch7 BK

Last month I noticed a collection account on my CR from National Credit Solutions. The original creditor was BMG. This account is at least 10 years old and I had fought BMG originally as I did not believe I owed them anything. I never heard from them again and the account never showed up on my CR as far as I know. The CR now shows Date Opened 01/2010 and Reported Since 05/2010. The balance is now $185 when I believe it started out around $30.

I was discharged 7/09 and did not include this debt as I did not know it even existed. What should I do so that I don't have to pay the balance and also get the collection removed from my CR?

Just challenge the debt as being out of statute with both the credit bureau and he debt collector.

Start by filing a both an online dispute and paper (letter) dispute to the credit bureaus. Include a copy of your discharge.
      Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
