take one day at a time. it will all be over soon enough. promise!!!!

there are many here that do not post the dates they file etc...because it's like they are "want to be's" and thrive on people's heartache.....so make certain you are careful what you do to help your stress here!!! there's always a pandors's box one can open!! (who's following who?)

We cope by focusing on the positives. According to my wife, now that we have decided what to do, I am no longer a moody, depressed-agressive bear to live with, we will be able to again afford health care insurance which will allow us to have another child, we will be able to afford putting some money away for whatever, etc. The stress is always there, but we focus on the consequences of our actions.
      Stopped paying: 08/10, Filed CH7: 08/27/10 , 341 & No Asset Report: 10/6/10, Last day to object: 12/06/10, Discharged: 12/07/10, Closed: 12/08/10

One thing I learned in the midst of all the collection agencies, calls, and collection letters - collection letters make excellent dartboards!

          Filed: 6/30/2010
          341: 7/26/2010
          Discharged: 10/6/2010

LOl!!! i know someone who is the hiring agent for many of these collection agy's.

he says they sit in an HUGE auditorium ...and remember the "lunch" tables when we were kids in the cafeteria. one table may be b of a...the next chase...the next citi bank??? i just couldn't believe it...

but he says that's how he makes his living and these people get pd by the call!! wow...and by the way many get like 20 bucks an hour!! (or so he says)

The only relief I felt was the minute after we filed. The stress went away, mostly. Of course little things come up with the bk but for the most part Im not stressed anymore. I will be a little stressed in the upcoming months as we motion to dismiss our case.

I have found nothing but wonderful replies and supportive stories. I think we are all in this together and need to draw on each others strengths. It is great to know that when a "brick " falls there is always someone who has stood where you are. I think relief will follow once I find a full time job, and file. Its just my husband makes about $70,000 a year. None of the debt is in his name, and he will not help. So I do not know if filing is even an option. Thanks again everyone!!

I've probably gained 20lbs this year, started drinking regularly and have been out of touch with almost everyone.

Some days I'm fine and say it's only money. And then some days I'm a wreck.

I'm hoping when we file things will let up a little so I can go back to normal....LOL

I have to say that this board has helped me a lot in the past 2 weeks.

                  Good Luck to you!!

                  This is how I am.

I have started going to the gym regularly (for other unrelated health issues) and I do have to say that it has helped A LOT in relieving some of the stress. I find that after the gym "high" wears off, I'm still stressed in the evenings. BUT, it's helped me not be stressed out all day long. LOL.
