Another update that just happened: Citi called again, and this time there was FINALLY someone on the other end. As I've said, Discover and Chase called a few weeks back with someone 'live' on the other line, took the info for my attorney and have never called back. Citi, though, continued to have no one on the other end or it was good old Mr. Robot Voice. Just now, no more than five minutes ago, they called, I answered, and it was an extremely nice lady. I told her about the BK, gave her my attorney info, and she said that I will no longer receieve any calls from them and she even advised that if I do, I should document the date and time (wow!).
Oddly though, I BoA has continue to be silent after weeks and weeks of limitless phone calls. I have heard nothing whatsoever from them in weeks now.

I am actually going to update this with something I didn't think that I would - as of 2:30pm today, I have gotten *NO* phone calls. True, as soon as I post this, they'll start coming in, but there has been nothing from anyone today. How common is that?

I was getting calls everyday from citi they called relatives of mine as well. I sent them a cease and desist letter telling them mail contact only and no more phone contact. I haven't heard from them in any way shape or form in 3 months.

Been awhile on this thread, but an update as to phone calls: Discover is now out of control. Calling constantly (as others said they would). I actually am not upset at the phone calls so much as on the RARE occasion I answer, there is NEVER anyone there, ever. Every so often I get a 30+ second message from a real person saying I need to call ASAP and all that; it promptly gets deleted. Bank of America also continues to call daily and at least every few hours. No message from them, ever. They, too, are never there when I answer. Citi has began to call as well. I'd say about four times a day and, again, no answer if I pick up. No messages, either. American Express calls every so often but not even every day. Strange because they are one of my higher debts. And finally Chase has YET to call. That, truly, shocks me. I have two cards with them, and as I said before I am maybe guessing that it's because my debt with them is fairly low (no more than $3,000 total while the other cards are... higher).

Yup. I am always up early, but if I DID oversleep I have an "alternative" alarm clock - the first of my daily calls from Sprint Wireless comes in promptly at 8:01am every single day!

Hahahahaaaa - that is HILARIOUS! Very smart, and thanks for the laugh!Originally posted by Bell30656 View PostI had a JDB that figured out my fax number and sent me a fax every evening, they called me during the day and even emailed. Since their fax number was on the top of the fax I waited until Friday really late, then I printed a reversed (black background with white text) "Don't Fax Me!" message on several pages of letter paper. I taped each page together and the then taped the bottom of the last to the top of the first... I let that puppy run all night. Scratch one toner cartridge! Never got another fax from that number.

They can call you on Sundays, Saturdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other time they choose as long as it is between the hours of 8am and 9pm. Sunday is the best day of the week to catch many people at home and still in the bed.Originally posted by pikaroth View PostQuick question. I am now sure I must have completely imagined this, but did I read somewhere that they do not call on Sundays? I thought I read that, and ever since the calls started, I have not gotten a single call on a Sunday. Until today. 8:00am today (Sunday!), and the calls began. All Discover and once from BOA. I guess my dream of a Sunday free day are dashed.

No one has been nasty with me at all. My husband flat out refuses to talk to anyone on the phone, so I have to field all calls. I've had Chase be nice as pie and I took a survey after the call, they asked if I were more likely to pay them, guess they realized the honey/vinegar thing. I let the CU intimidate me, all the others, peh. One account, the rep did some acting, made her plea sound really urgent, my kid was standing there, and I refuse to discuss things in front of my kids, which I told her. A friend told me some of them work on commission. Crap1 called, was giving atty info and got hung up on. Fine. Giving out the atty info really helped to stop the calls. I don't know what info would be incriminating, I've told them I'd send out the payment on such and such date, that I would sign up for their payment plan, just to buy some time. Oh yeah, NCO said we have 30 days to come up with a case number or they start the calls again.Last edited by Okieblue; 11-21-2010, 09:27 PM.
