    Foreign Collecters

Man we kept getting this call...over and over and over..we finally answered it was a lady (no offense to non english speakers) but one she couldnt speak English plain enough for anyone to understand..it was that bad. And I have lived in a couple of different countries..so accents normally arent a problem. Finally the guy we got this morning "chris" spoke a little better english..enough that he got my drift when I said I get paid every two weeks and your company is in line to get some even though its 30% intrest rate.

Are these companies hiring foreigners now to do their bill collecting? Just wondering..kinda funny in a demented way to think of american bill collectors getting laid off to send the company to India..

My wife told the one lady although we owe this cc company I wont discuss my finances with someone who I cant even understand..i mean not that they would want my identity with my credit...but still its the principle of the matter.

It wouldn't surprise me. It's not just technical help desks being outsourced all over the place--some of the Colorado government help desks are now in Mexico!

      Anon,

It is all getting outsourced. I had one that called me from India. They also use English sounding names. I asked him where he was and he told me but said he could not say much as they record the conversations. He said his area (New Deli sp?) was being invaded by American companies. I said they must pay alot. He said they did not.

My question is if all these companies are outsourcing how are Americans supposed to pay their bills. Did you know that even doctors are being outsourced. They take xray pictures and zoom them via the internet over to some company in India to read and zoom the info back. I think our downfall was the internet!

I also read recently (maybe even on this board) that truck drivers are the next to be outsourced. Evidently Pr. Bush is signing off on what will be known as the NAFTA superhighway. It will run from Laredo, TX to the Canadian border. The point is that Mexican truckdrivers can run their goods through the USA to Canada without utlizing American truckdrivers. It will be a straight shot from Mexico to Canada. Do a google search on "Nafta highway".

The outsourcing is basically why I lost my job--so, needless to say, I have a really bad opinion of it.

If you ask to speak to their boss you will generaly get someone you can understand better.

Another point is that I refuse to give my SS# to someone who is foreign. I know they can readily access it, but I somehow do not feel comfortable with it. When I had AMEX, they asked for my soc # and the guy was in India.
Needless to say, I cancelled AMEX. This was back when my credit was good

Heck, I had a consult with a lawyer yesterday and the paperwork wanted my SSN--no way! No one gets that til I sign a retainer. Very few people actually need that number.

Has anyone heard about the North American Union? I was watching Lou Dobbs on CNN and he talked about the agreement signed by Bush, Fox, and the guy from Canada that will within the next few years erase the national boundaries and sovereignties of our countries. Bush is a globalist and wants to do everything he can to make his vision for our future come true. It's the reason he supports amnesty for the illegal aliens, because in his warped view, there is no such thing as an illegal alien. He thinks there should be no borders and everyone in the world should be able to freely come here. So much for trying to keep us safe from terrorism. If you can't control who comes into your country, then how can you protect your country from terrorism?
