My $10k "free" puppy has been quite the loveable liability! Two weeks following my 341, I invested $3500 into him. I don't think my Trustee can afford my furry asset!

My atty never mentioned having to value my pet! Is this for certain states or everyone?
Eek. How much is an 8 year old used boxer with a weak bladder worth anyway? She was a rescue dog and costs me money each month.
Seriously...do they want to know about your pets & what they are "worth"????
Yes they do. I think it's for purposes of weeding out "high end" show quality breeds that perhaps bring in revenue for the owner. Although I can't see a trustee wanting to hassle with the boarding and care of such an animal, but who knows.

My attorney put "Upkeep exceeds value" for my dogs. So very true.
True true.
Our first GSD had a chronic licking habit and had to be treated by the vet several times for infection over the 7 years we had him. That cost alone exceeded what we paid for him. He was worth it though.

Has anyone had their regular non show quality spayed/neutered pet "repo'ed"?
I am in Massachusetts. Never even thought about the dog when I started this...
I simply cannot imagine them coming to get a spayed or neutered non-show dog. It would have to have value to the trustee, and the previously mentioned does not.
I am just starting this process so everything is making me nervous. I will list value of dog as upkeep exceeds value.
I agree. The whole process is a little nerve stretching....but even as a newbie myself...I can say, this is probably one area you DON'T need to stress over.
