Are there any ways to postopne sale date after NOS filed?

We received a Notice of Sale last week indicating our home will be auctioned off on August 4th. What if anything can we do to at least try to get another 30 days extension?

We submitted a new loan modification application two weeks ago and our file is allegedly under review but we're terrified that we may lose the home in just over two weeks so hoping to way of any way to delay foreclosure if nothing else to buy ourselves some time to save some money and find a rental.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

onthebrink, so sorry to hear about your situation. california is a primarily non-judicial state. which unfortunately means you cannot seek any relief from the court system.

i would think the only hope you have is to get in touch with the bank and see if they will work with you to stop the process. i know in calif. many times it works quite quickly after you rec'd your notice.
