    Think they already had a buyer. There was someone in it almost a month later.

      If the mortgage company bought it -- using their "funny money" -- at auction, then they own it. That doesn't mean they have a buyer! They would have rather a buyer show up and purchase it from the Sheriff. Now, they'll have to hire a real estate agent and now market it. So, you could check the county records (record of deeds) to see if it went directly to the bank, or went to someone at the Sheriff's sale.

      What are you asking about? What's next? Nothing, if you filed bankruptcy and it was included in bankruptcy (discharged).
