    Renting home out during foreclosure

I haven't been served yet but expect to soon.

I want to rent this house on a short term lease 1 year at time.

In NY it should take 3-4 years to drop the hammer.

I was told that until that hammer drops I can do as I wish.

    Do you folks agree?

    tks

You can do what you want. I would be perfectly upfront with the tenants but tell them that you will treat the lease just like any other lease. That is, missed payments will be met by a notice and demand to quit/vacate. That payments not made by the 5th day will be met by the start of eviction proceedings... etc. But that's me.

Ok, thought it was ok, and to have a few words added to the lease can avoid headaches.
