If you have any experience with 2004 rule exam in chapter 7 case , please share your experience about : 1) Why was it done , 2) How long the exam lasted ( hours etc) , 3) How was your over all experience with it?

Rule 2004 examinations are case specific. If a Rule 2004 exam has been set in your case, your case has some specific issues. Was this set by a creditor or the trustee or, even, the US Trustee? Is the Order only for documents or is it for documents and a meeting?
If by a creditor - that creditor is probably trying to determine if he/she/it has a claim for non-dischargeability.
If by the trustee - the trustee is probably trying to discover all of the potential assets he/she can liquidate for the benefit of creditors.
If by the US Trustee - he/she is probably trying to determine if you are deserving of a Chapter 7.
What are the issues in your case? Do you have an attorney?

It is for in person question answer. It is requested by UST. Panel attorney has referred the case to UST. Not sure why.Comment

Wild guess - you are over median income and, just maybe, the means test either is incorrect or shows there is a presumption of abuse. Also, if your schedule I and J shows you have the ability to pay creditors (positive cash flow), that could be a reason. Otherwise there is something else going on in the case. There are other reasons for the UST to look at a case, but again, this would be fact specific.
